Magnesium Oxide USP
General Information:
Magnesium Oxide USP reference standard, intended for use in specified quality tests and assays as specified in the USP compendia. Our Heavy Magnesium Oxide (MgO) has an extremely high bulk density, much higher than that of other heavy magnesium oxides, which makes it an excellent filler. Our Heavy Magnesium Oxide (MgO) has a bulk density around 1 g/mL when standard heavy magnesium oxides are close to 0.25 g/l. Its granule form makes it very easy to handle: the granules are resistant to friction caused by transportation and do not break down to powder.

Application & Use:
Heavy magnesium oxide is widely used as high-temperature resistant materials. It is perfect raw materials for ceramic crucibles, substrate and so on with good light permeability in translucent field. Heavy magnesium oxide can be used as filling for magnetic device and variety of carriers in electronic materials and electric field.
(1)Industry
Caustic calcined magnesium oxide is widely used in steel plant, desulphurization in power plant. Heavy magnesium oxide can be used to produce magnesite brick or a furnace protecting material.
(2)Animal husbandry
Magnesium oxide which with low heavy metal content can be sprayed on the farm as animal feed which can increase nutrition for the animals.
(3)Construction
In the building materials industry, Heavy Magnesium Oxide (MgO) can make particle boards, heat preservation posts, rails, artificial marble, asbestos shingle, common tiles, walls and flooring.
Advantage & Disadvantage:
Magnesium oxide is a mineral supplement used to treat or prevent low levels of magnesium in the blood. You should not take more magnesium oxide than your doctor or the product label recommends. Too much magnesium in the blood can cause serious side effects
